On saturday June 1st, we planted the Hart House Farm plot.
Katie planting potaotes at the Hart House farm plot. Plant potatoes with the roots facing up and cover with soil.
Katie and Jennifer transplant tomato, and basil seedlings which are companion plants. They also plant rows of sweet peppers.
We planted these bush beans known as orca or ying yang beans! I can’t wait to see how they look when they grow.
Miriam and Bonnie admire their hard work! This is the finished garden. We designed the garden in a “labyrinth” style, where people could walk though the garden rather then in the typical row planting style. We planted a variety of crops, potatoes, carrots, beets, turnips, corn, squash, beans, tobacco, flax, borrage, basil, sage, tomatoes, sweet pepper, salad greens, swiss shard, cucumber, eggplant, and ocra.
