The garlic we planted in late October 2012 was ready for harvest this week!

We harvested 119 bulbs of garlic that are now drying.
Jennifer uses a fork to lift the garlic bulb out of the soil.
Garlic is harvested by lifting the bulb out of the soil with a garden fork.
We shook dirt off of the roots to clean them up then sorted the garlic in plies of small, medium and large.

Garlic was then bundled and hanged to dry.

After finishing harvesting the garlic, we headed over to the UTSU Gardens to harvest green beans!
