So for those who love a good vegan feast, you may have already heard about Hot Yam’s $4 vegan brunch that happens weekly (now changed from Thursdays to Wednesdays) from 12-2 pm at the Centre for International Experience (33 St. George St.). Not only is this great for a student budget, but it is delicious! Recently covered in NOW Magazine (http://www.nowtoronto.com/food/story.cfm?content=182359&archive=30,52,2011), this volunteer-run vegan food collective is expanding!
Hot Yams! proposal to the Graduate Student’s Union to operate a full-time student run cafe was recently accepted. For those who want to get involved in this endeavor and are excited about food should come to a brief evening meeting to find out more!
