Farming Workshop at Hart House Farm

Join us next weekend for the second of Dig In! and the Hart House Farm Committee’s summer Farming Workshops!

Want to know what you’re in for? Check out this great blog post that one of the event participants wrote about our May workshop.  Sunday June 10th, 11am – 7pm $7, with or without bus. Lunch and dinner are not provided, so bring your own picnic.

Always wanted to learn more about farming and gardening? Join the Farm Committee and Dig In! Campus Agriculture as we spend the day working (and playing!) at Hart House Farm’s garden plots. Learn sustainable agriculture techniques including planting and companion planting, potato mounding, watering and weeding(!), working up and amending the soil…and more!

Help grow some food that will be used for Farm Committee events and brought back to campus for use at student kitchens and the UofT Food Bank.

Take a break to explore the property’s trails, relax in the sauna, and cool off in the farm’s spring-fed ponds.

Plus, it’s the perfect weekend for summer’s first picnic.

Join us for a day of work and play!

For for information, email us at farm.committee@gmail.com, or find us on Facebook.

Tickets are available from uofttix.ca
