There are only 10 spots available for this awesome, FREE workshop so RSVP now! Once these 10 spots are filled, we will put you on a wait-list in case of cancellations. You can look forward canning tomato sauce, tomatillo salsa and apple sauce! We also invite you to bring your own items to preserve if you have extra fall produce – limited to fruit, tomatoes and tomatillos. If you will be bringing items, please include the type and amount when you RSVP to campusagriculture@gmail.com.
The workshop will start with a demonstration on the Food & Water Institute’s Sky Garden. Learn about their solar dehydrator and how to preserve fruits and vegetables by dehydration! From there, we will be moving to cafe space on the top floor of the Graduate Students Union to do some canning!
We will be making use of produce grown on campus and at Hart House Farm by Dig In! Campus Agriculture and the Hart House Farm Committee.
